Preview Weekend Close Up

With the preview weekend ending just wanted to take some time to thank everyone that helped out, joined in, made us laugh, or a myriad of other things that made this weekend a huge sucess for Aureus Knights. We got the guild formed up, did some RvR action, got some great screen shots, and made a lot of new friends!

We also named our first ever player of the month Arcis! Follow the links to his profile and the “POTM” announcment. Congratulations Arcis!!!

Join the Knights for Warhammer’s Preview Weekend!

The preview weekend is finally at hand! Many of you will be stepping into WAR for the first time while others are beta hardened vets. Either way we are super excited about what we have in store for everyone.

We’d like to invite everyone; Long time AKS members, new applicants or even those who’ve never heard of us before to join us this weekend in diving right in to the WAR experience! We will be hosting an RvR night on Saturday and other events continually through the weekend; we could not be more excited about what we have in store for everyone.

For those who are interested in playing with us please join us! Some details on our plans:

• We will be playing on the Tyrion Barak Varr server
• We will be playing on the Order side
• We will be getting a guild established as soon as we can get the 50 silver together - until then please join us in in-game chat channel AKS; to join this channel type /join AKS
• We will be on Ventrilo! We never make anyone join us on voice chat but we find it enriches the experience for everyone - so join us! Details here.

The WAR NDA has Dropped!

We are heading into a super exciting time for Warhammer Online today as the NDA preventing testers from talking about the game has finally dropped!

To celebrate the NDA drop Aureus Knights are happy to present two new features.

First — Over on our forums we have setup a thread so all AKS beta testers can answer your questions. Check it out.

Second — We are happy to introduce a videocast series! All week long (and until release) we will be putting together video previews of the game to introduce you to features. Check it out.

With the NDA expected to be dropped anytime now, RJO has started a thread on the forums for those of you who haven’t experienced the beta yet to get answers to your pre-open beta questions. How does the class you’re interested in playing perform? How quick can one level? How does RvR stand up against PvP found in other games?

Keep an eye on this thread; we’ll unlock it as soon as the NDA drops so you can ask away. If you’re not a member of our forums yet, feel free to register and ask away. The forums are open to everyone, guild members and visitors alike.

RvR Open World Raid, 9pm CST

Tonight marks our first scheduled open world RvR event in Warhammer Online. If you’re in the beta, meet up at 9pm CST at the Greenskin vs Dwarf tier 1 RvR warcamp, and join the AKS chat channel using “/channel AKS” ingame.

Thank you to everyone who attended! The event was a phenomenal success, and we managed to officially form the guild ingame thanks to your help.

Summer 2008 Newsletter is Out!

We are pleased to present our second Aureus Knights newsletter for Summer 2008! We are hoping to do the newsletter more frequently with a target of once every quarter. If you like the newsletter, or want to see something changed or added please let me know either on the forums or via email.

Preparing for WAR

Just a brief reminder to those of you who will be joining us in Warhammer Online (which launches this September with closed beta opening to preorderers next week) — please be sure to join in on our Warhammer forums. Besides having lots of discussions about what classes and races your peers will be trying out, a number of those in our ranks have been beta testing for some time, and will be able to answer your questions after the NDA is lifted in the coming days.

As always, we encourage you to take part in the forums; it’s a great way to stay in touch with everyone, and to join in on new and upcoming games the members are checking out.

Aureus Knights 2.0

Thar be some changes afoot, as those of you who frequent this space may have noticed. We’re in the middle of a major overhaul of the AKS website. This will take a few days to get finished, and a few weeks beyond that to work all the bugs out. Sit tight while we deal with this stuff- we promise it’ll be worth it.

In the meantime, if you notice any huge, glaring, horrifying bugs that are driving you crazy, please let me know. Much heart.
