The media haven't started their appointments with Square Enix yet (that starts tomorrow) but that didn't stop Square themselves from putting out quite a bit of interesting information today!

Following that Square released a view of the revamped (and looking quite nice I might say) combat system:


Couple this with the benchmarking program we saw earlier today and even the most die hard FFXIV fan can go to bed tonight with their information craving satisfied.

No doubt more to come tomorrow when the fan sites and news networks begin to sit down with the development team...

"Speedy"? I don't think that's the word I would use for it. That fight took a long time. I'm glad they improved it if it was worse than that, though. Was that a regular trash mob?

That's a trash mob... FF MMO combat is designed to be slower then you are used to - it is built for group combat and it is built to be more strategic

I`m used to Pokémon fighting where a fight takes literally less than 2 seconds.
